David Aquino

David Aquino is an Associate Manager at Columbia University, where he orchestrates operational excellence within a high-traffic institutional environment. Since joining the University in 2019, David has transitioned from frontline operations to a key leadership role, now overseeing the daily service delivery that supports students, faculty, and campus guests.

Dedicated to cultivating leadership within his team, David mentors two Assistant Managers and a group of 6–10 student employees to maintain high standards of frontline engagement. He balances personnel development with technical oversight, leading service-level audits and infrastructure enhancements that refine institutional workflows. His success relies on maintaining strategic alliances with Facilities, Dining, University Events Management, Undergraduate Student Life, and the Arts Initiative to enhance the overall campus experience.

Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Technology Management at Columbia University, David focuses on the intersection of digital transformation and operational efficiency. By blending a foundation in fine arts with a rigorous, systems-based approach to management, he brings a unique multidisciplinary lens to solving complex organizational challenges and preparing for the future of technology-driven operations.
