Tia-Tenarge Reid

Tia‑Tenarge Reid is an operational leader at Columbia University’s Student Center, where she supports the Assistant Director in overseeing daily operations and ensuring a high‑quality experience for all visitors. She partners closely with Facilities, University Event Management, Dining, and Public Safety to maintain seamless service delivery within this high‑traffic campus hub.

Tia provides direct mentorship to two Assistant Managers and 6 - 10 student employees, offering guidance in scheduling, workflow coordination, and frontline service management. She leads service-level audits, supports infrastructure and process‑improvement initiatives, and strengthens cross‑departmental communication to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

With previous experience in tax accounting, student services, and administrative operations, Tia brings a broad analytical and organizational perspective to her work. She holds an MBA in Finance and a BBA in Accounting from Monroe University and a Masters of Science in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution at Columbia University. Her combined academic and professional experience positions her to navigate complex institutional environments and contribute to strategic leadership priorities within higher education.
